Health Qigong Routines

Based on traditional Qigong practices, Chinese Health Qigong Association has released 4 sets of practice forms specifically aimed at health improvement. These are Yi Jin Jing (sinew and Tendon transforming exercise), Wu Qin Xi (frolics of five animals), Liu Zi Jue (six healing sounds) and Ba Duan Jin (eight section brocades). They are widely practiced in China and are becoming popular world-wide.


Yi Jin Jing     

Yi Jin Jing consists of 12 sets of routines, was originally an exercise that monks of Shaolin Temple practiced to strengthen physique and improve martial art skills. By imitating movements and postures of the five animals.

Wu Qin Xi     

Wu Qin Xi aims at enhancing fitness, good health and longevity.. These two types of health Qigong were developed more than two thousand years ago, which are evidenced by the culture relic of Dao Yin Tu (map of guiding Qi) unearthed in Changsha, Hunan Province of China.

Liu Zi Jue     

Liu Zi Jue focuses on breathing with routines. This Qigong originated from Taost and traditional Chinese medical schools. It first appeared in Southern and Northern dynasties and was further developed in the Tong and Song dynasties. The modern form of Liu Zi Jue became matured in the Ming and the Qing dynasties.

Ba Duan Jin      

Ba Duan Jin was derived from the concept of eight diagrams in Ji Jing (Book of Changes) and firs appeared in the Southern Song dynasty. The exercise can be practiced either in standing or in sitting.
